The Rainy Thursday Morning

Introduction

Good morning friends! It's a rainy Thursday and while some might welcome the rain, I can't say I'm too thrilled about it. But that's the kind of weather we're dealing with today. So, let me tell you all about my morning so far.

The Rainy Morning

As I woke up this morning, my in-laws were preparing to leave. It's always nice to have them around, and we had a great time yesterday. However, I managed to hurt my hamstring while bowling. Yes, bowling of all things! I never properly healed from a previous injury, so it's a bit sore today. Nevertheless, life goes on.

Getting Ready for the Day

After my in-laws left, I quickly got myself ready for the day. No makeup, just a fresh face, brushed teeth, and a simple ponytail. I opted for comfy yoga pants and a cute Disney shirt - planning ahead for my upcoming trip to Disney. I threw on a cardigan and decided to treat myself to a coffee from Starbucks before running some errands.

Tackling Errands

My to-do list today includes picking up Brian's medications from CVS and his dry cleaning, which conveniently is located near my nail salon. Speaking of nails, I had to reschedule last week's appointment, so today is finally the day for a fresh manicure. If I manage to get through this errand efficiently, I might treat myself to a Starbucks coffee as well. But if the line is too long, I'll just skip it.

Organizing Valentine's Decorations

As soon as my in-laws left this morning, I started gathering my Valentine's decorations and piled them on my dining room table. The goal for today is to put all of these decorations away and store them in the attic. I want to clear up some space and start transitioning to Easter decorations in the upcoming days.

Dealing with a Hamstring Injury

It's a bit ironic that I hurt my hamstring while bowling. I guess it never fully healed since the original injury. To help alleviate the pain, I've read that sitting on ice and resting the leg is beneficial. I'll also take some ibuprofen to reduce any inflammation. So, before diving into my to-do list, I'll take a break, sit on some ice, and pamper my leg for a while.

Picking Up Packages and PR Items

Before heading to the nail salon, I stopped by my P.O. box to check for any packages. Surprisingly, the box was closed, but I shouldn't have any issues since I have an automatic renewal. I'll stop by again after getting gas and show them my bank statement to clarify the situation. On another note, I received a PR package with clear fanny packs. I'll review one and use the other during my Disney trip, and I even plan to do a giveaway with one.

Admiring New Home Decor

I also received some lovely home decor items from Ari Loved Lumber, a small business I found on Etsy. I purchased cute bathroom signs, one saying "Good Morning Gorgeous" and the other "Hello There Handsome." They're the perfect size and add a charming touch to my bathroom. The quality and price were great, so I highly recommend checking them out if you're interested.

Taking a Break and Enjoying the Silence

After all the running around and errands, I decided to take a much-needed break. Enjoying some peace and quiet is just what I need. It's been quite chaotic with my in-laws visiting and the constant noise from their loud TV shows. Now, I finally have a moment to myself to relax, sit back, and enjoy the silence.

Putting Away Valentine's Decorations

I eventually dragged myself off the couch and started organizing my Valentine's decorations. It took some running back and forth, but I managed to put everything away into my storage totes. I'll need to empty the heart-shaped decorations and give them a good cleaning before storing them away until next year. With everything in place, I can now focus on transitioning to Easter decorations.

This concludes my rainy Thursday morning adventures. I hope you enjoyed following along as I tackled my to-do list and organized my home. Stay tuned for more updates and adventures to come!
