Introduction

Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel! In this vlog video, I'll be taking you along with me throughout my week. So grab yourself a snack and a drink, sit back, relax, and let's get into this video. Today, I'll be focusing on cleaning my room and getting ready for the holiday season. I'll also be sharing some of my daily routines and activities with my kids. So stay tuned and enjoy the content!

Cleaning my Room

First things first, I need to clean my room. While the rest of the house is relatively clean, my room is in desperate need of some attention. There are clothes that need to be washed and folded, sheets that need to be replaced, and a general sense of clutter that needs to be addressed. I'll also need to put away the fall decorations and start decorating with all my Christmas stuff. It may seem like a daunting task, but I'm up for the challenge. I'd rather clean my own room than have someone else do it for me.

Decorating for Christmas

Since it's already the holiday season, I want to create a cozy and festive atmosphere in my room. I have two Christmas trees, one with neutral green decorations and the other flocked with gold, silver, and white ornaments. I'm thinking of moving one of the trees to a different spot to create the perfect Christmas corner. I also have Christmas pillow covers that I can use to add a touch of holiday cheer. I'm really excited about having a Christmas tree in my room for the first time. It's the perfect spot for taking pictures and capturing those special holiday moments.

Sunday Movie Night Dinner

On Sundays, we have a themed movie night dinner. Unfortunately, we couldn't have it last night due to my son's football tournament, so we're having it tonight instead. The menu for tonight's dinner is Luna Lovegood's loaded potato soup and mini Granger's ham grilled sandwiches. For dessert, I'm making Snicker bars. I've already prepared the food and it's now in the crockpot, simmering away. I love these themed dinners because they bring us together as a family and create lasting memories.

Wash My Sheets Day

Since it's Sunday, it's also wash my sheets day. I need to wash the sheets and mattress cover for my bed. Unfortunately, my daughter decided to write on the sheets with permanent marker, so I've tried everything to remove it without success. Looks like I'll have to invest in a new set of sheets. I also need to wash the sheets for my son's bed and the guest room. Fresh, clean sheets make a huge difference in creating a peaceful and relaxing sleep environment.

Living with Navy

Living with my daughter Navy is always an adventure. She's full of energy and has a knack for getting into mischief. Just today, I found a chewed-up apple in the washing machine. Yes, you heard that right. Navy thought it would be fun to put an apple in the washing machine, leaving me with a rather unpleasant surprise. It's moments like these that remind me of the joy and chaos that comes with parenthood.

Organizing My Christmas Corner

I've decided to create a Christmas corner in my room to fully embrace the holiday spirit. I rearranged some furniture and moved one of my Christmas trees to a new spot. I also put up Christmas pillow covers and other festive decorations to complete the look. The corner is now the perfect spot for taking pictures and enjoying the cozy ambiance of the holiday season. I'm really excited about how it turned out and it brings me so much joy every time I walk into my room.

Bedtime Routine with Navy

Before bed, I always go through a little bedtime routine with Navy. We have a special bedtime spray called Zarby's that we use to create a calming and soothing environment in her room. I also make sure to open the windows to let some fresh air in. Navy likes to choose her favorite stuffed animals and tuck them in with her before falling asleep. It's these little rituals that create a sense of comfort and help Navy wind down for a good night's sleep.

Morning Routine with Emran

In the mornings, I follow a simple routine with my son Emran. After he wakes up, we have a little cuddle time before getting ready for the day. I make sure to wipe down the kitchen and open the windows to let in some fresh air. During breakfast, I emphasize the importance of proper nutrition by serving a balanced meal with fruits, eggs, and toast. It's these small rituals that set us up for a productive and positive start to the day.

Sensory Bins and Holiday Activities

To keep the kids entertained, I've created sensory bins filled with Christmas-themed items. Navy and my son Kale absolutely love playing with them. I've added foam scatter, bells, gingerbread wood pieces, and faux snow to enhance the sensory experience. We also have holiday-themed coloring sheets with stickers, a gingerbread house kit, and painting activities. These sensory bins and holiday activities not only provide entertainment but also promote creativity and fine motor skills.
