Studio Vlog: New Art Prints, Stickers, and Thank You Cards

Introduction Welcome to another studio vlog! In this vlog, I will be sharing updates on the new art prints, stickers, and thank you cards I have been working on. I'll also introduce you to Mike, the newest member of the Catnip team. Join me as we package orders, tidy up the studio, and try out some new art markers. So, let's get started!

Studio Vlog Update I apologize for the delay in posting this studio vlog. Due to illness and a busy schedule, I was unable to film last week. However, I am back in the studio with a ton of new projects and products to share with you all. So, let's dive in and see what I have been working on!

Dealing with Illness and Motivation Last week, I fell ill with a sinus infection, which forced me to take a day off. Surprisingly, this break allowed me to recharge and come back to work feeling motivated and inspired. Sometimes, taking time off can actually boost productivity. I often get asked how I consistently produce work each week, and the truth is, it's not always easy. There are times when I have creative slumps. However, when inspiration strikes, I make the most of it, producing as much work as possible. It's important to embrace these creative bursts and ride the wave of motivation while it lasts.

New Art Prints and Stickers During my creative spree, I added a variety of new art prints and sticker packs to my Etsy shop. I created illustrations featuring dolphins, fries, a cute school, and a new sun character. These designs turned out beautifully, and I'm thrilled to offer them to my customers. Additionally, I designed weather stickers based on suggestions from my followers on Instagram and YouTube. To cater to different preferences, I experimented with smaller sticker sizes, which I will discuss in more detail later.

Creating Thank You Cards One of my tasks for this vlog was to design new thank you cards. I decided to switch things up and make them postcard-style with a cute illustration on the front and a heartfelt thank you message on the back. I wanted to provide my customers with something they could keep and display, rather than just a leaflet with information. I chose a textured, recycled paper for these cards to add a unique touch. I'm excited to send them to the printer and have them ready for my customers.

Introducing Mike to the Team In this vlog, I am thrilled to introduce Mike, the newest member of the Catnip team. Mike is Dean's brother, and his skills as a filmmaker and photographer made him the perfect fit for our growing business. He will be handling packaging and fulfilling Etsy orders, as well as assisting with product photography. With Mike on board, we hope to elevate the quality and efficiency of our operations. So far, he has been doing a great job, and we are excited to see what he brings to the table.

Packaging Orders and Tidying the Studio With Mike joining the team, I had the opportunity to focus on other tasks, such as packaging orders and tidying up the studio. It's essential to maintain an organized workspace and ensure that all orders are packaged with care. I'm grateful to have a dedicated team that helps me with these tasks, allowing me to concentrate on creating new artwork and expanding my product offerings.

Trying Out New Art Markers I recently received a package of Ever Blend art markers and couldn't wait to try them out. As an art lover, I'm always on the lookout for quality supplies at an affordable price. I plan to test these markers and compare them to more expensive options like Copics. Stay tuned for an upcoming video where I will share my thoughts and demonstrate their capabilities. If you have any suggestions for what I should draw with these markers, feel free to leave them in the comments!

Experimenting with Smaller Sticker Sizes In an effort to reduce waste and offer more options, I have been experimenting with printing smaller sticker sizes. Many Etsy stores already offer this smaller size, and I wanted to see if it would be a good fit for my designs. The smaller stickers have a certain charm and cuteness to them, and I'm considering adding them to my shop alongside the regular-sized stickers. However, before making a decision, I would love to hear your thoughts. Do you prefer the current size or the smaller size for planner stickers? Let me know in the comments!

Wrapping Up the Studio Vlog That's a wrap for this studio vlog! I hope you enjoyed seeing the new art prints, stickers, and thank you cards that I have been working on. Remember, your opinion matters, so please let me know your thoughts on the smaller sticker sizes. I appreciate all the support and feedback from my incredible community. Stay tuned for more exciting content and updates from Catnip. Thank you for watching, and I'll see you in the next one!
