Welcome back to my channel and today's day in the life video. It's January 1st, 2021, and I can't believe how fast time flies. Today I'll be taking you through my busy day and showing you what it's like to run my Etsy business. I have a lot on my to-do list, including restocking items, cutting kits, filling orders, and more. So let's dive right in.

Daily Schedule

I usually try to take some time off for special occasions like birthdays, but lately, it has been challenging due to the high demand and the little break I took for Christmas. Today, I need to focus on restocking items and cutting Kit 33, which includes weekly kits and daily duo kits. These tasks can be time-consuming, especially when it comes to cutting various designs. Therefore, I'll prioritize these to ensure I can release new products next Sunday.

Restocks and Cutting Kits

The first task on my list is restocking items. I have a lot of items to reprint, and I'm currently monitoring the printers to make sure everything is going smoothly. Restocking is crucial for keeping my inventory well-stocked and preventing future restocks. Once I finish restocking, I'll move on to cutting Kit 33. This kit includes hourly, daily duo, and vertical layouts. Cutting these designs requires attention to detail and precision to ensure the final product meets my customers' expectations.

Plan with Me

In addition to restocks and cutting kits, I also need to film my "Plan with Me" video. This video is a popular series on my channel, where I share my planning process and provide valuable tips for effective planning. The "Plan with Me" videos have been well-received by my audience, and I always make sure to include the latest kits and designs in these videos to keep things fresh and exciting.

Filling Orders

While working on my tasks, I also need to fill orders. Unfortunately, the post office is closed today, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to drop off these orders. However, I want to prepare them today to ensure a smooth shipping process. I have around 24 orders from December 30th, and I want to get them ready as soon as possible.

New Computer Setup

Recently, I purchased a new computer to replace my old one. My old computer, which was over four years old, was becoming slow and affecting my productivity. The new computer, a 16-inch MacBook Pro, has significantly improved my speed and efficiency in designing, editing, and printing. It's essential to invest in updated technology to stay productive and avoid wasting time on slow-performing devices.

Multitasking and Editing

As I work on various tasks, I find myself multitasking to make the most of my time. Sometimes it can be challenging to remember to film for my day in the life videos, but I always strive to provide my viewers with an authentic behind-the-scenes experience. Currently, I'm editing my videos while preparing to cut more kits and printing some additional designs.

Benefits of Upgrading Computers

Investing in a new computer has been a game-changer for me. The faster performance and increased capabilities allow me to work more efficiently and complete tasks in less time. Upgrading to a larger screen size also benefits design and editing work, providing a better user experience. In the long run, investing in your business technology can significantly impact productivity and success.

As the day comes to an end, I've accomplished most of my tasks, including restocks, cutting kits, filling orders, and editing videos. Running an Etsy business requires dedication, multitasking, and adapting to technological advancements. Upgrading my computer has been a wise investment that improves my overall productivity. Looking back at this busy day, I am grateful for the growth of my business and the support of my viewers and customers.
