C's Art: A Showcase of DIY Projects

Introduction

Welcome to C's Art! In this video, I will be showcasing all of the amazing projects that I have created for the month of September 2023. Despite feeling a bit under the weather, I am committed to being consistent with my videos and sharing my creative journey with you. So, without further ado, let's dive into all the exciting things I have made!

Project 1: Sponsored Beach Bag

The first project I want to share with you is a sponsored post from Hobby Yarns. For the Hobby Elements Challenge, I chose the water element and was provided with the Monon yarn to create a beach bag. The bag is a beautiful combination of green, dark green glitter, and white, reminiscent of the Philippine seas that I love. This beach bag is not only visually stunning, but also practical, as it can hold all of your beach essentials. Creating this bag was an enjoyable and quick process, thanks to the soft and shiny peton yarn. I am proud of my accomplishment and grateful for the opportunity to participate in this challenge.

Project 2: Crochet Numbers

Next on the list is a fun project where I challenged myself to crochet numbers. So far, I have completed the number 1, but I plan to continue and create numbers 2 through 10 or 9. The crochet numbers can be used for educational purposes, such as teaching toddlers or kindergarteners, or simply as a cute keychain. I used 100% cotton yarn and filled the numbers with poly gaster filling, giving them a plush texture. Stay tuned for more updates on this ongoing project!

Project 3: Pink Acrylic Scrunchie

Moving on, I have made another scrunchie, and this time, it is a vibrant pink one. This scrunchie is incredibly easy and quick to make, taking me only around 20 minutes. Made with acrylic yarn, it adds a pop of color and a touch of charm to any hairstyle. When worn, it creates a lovely effect that enhances your overall look. Don't you just love the versatility of scrunchies?

Project 4: Blue T-Shirt Yarn Bag

While browsing through my yarn stash, I stumbled upon a ball of yarn that I had previously used for a project. Despite initially doubting if there was enough yarn to create something substantial, I decided to give it a try. To my surprise, I successfully crafted a small bag using the blue t-shirt yarn from Hook Yarn. This bag, which I designed without a pattern, turned out to be a real gem. Its compact size makes it perfect for holding various items, such as scrunchies, phones, or small accessories. It's a handy little purse for your everyday needs.

Project 5: Denim Blue T-Shirt Yarn Bag

Continuing with my newfound love for making bags, I opted to use another ball of t-shirt yarn, this time in a soft denim blue shade. This second bag, also created without a pattern, showcases the stretchy and soft qualities of this particular yarn. It has a more relaxed feel compared to the earlier bag and is perfect for grocery runs or casual outings. The absence of a lock allows for easy access, while the roomy interior can accommodate various items. Why not style it as a beach bag or a trendy laptop carrier? The possibilities are endless!

Project 6: Paper Bead Jewelry

Now, let's explore a unique project made from recycled materials. I delved into the world of paper crafts and created beautiful paper beads. Inspired by my teenage days when I used to make paper crafts for fun, I decided to give it a go once again. Using magazine pages, I carefully cut and rolled the paper to produce beads in different shapes and sizes. Surprisingly, these paper beads have become one of my best-sellers on Etsy. They make fantastic jewelry pieces or decorative accents. Embrace your creativity and discover innovative ways to incorporate them into your life.

Project 7: Jumbo Yarn La Blanket

Last but not least, I want to share a project that's already been sent out to its fortunate recipient – a little lap blanket made from jumbo yarn. This project was the first time I used a 25 mm crochet hook, resulting in a chunky and cozy blanket. Three balls of yarn were enough to create this inviting blanket, perfect for snuggling up on colder days. Its generous size ensures that you can comfortably wrap it around your body, providing warmth and comfort. Just looking at it makes you want to curl up and relax!

Conclusion

I am incredibly proud of the projects I have completed this month. From sponsored creations to my own patterns, each item represents my passion for DIY and crochet. I hope you have enjoyed this glimpse into my creative process and feel inspired to embark on your own crafting adventures. Remember, the possibilities are limitless when it comes to expressing your creativity!
