Worst Rated Slimes on Amazon and Etsy

Welcome to my review of the worst rated slimes on Amazon and Etsy. In this article, I will be reviewing slimes from various shops on both Amazon and Etsy that have received low ratings from customers. I will be unboxing and reviewing these slimes to see if their reviews are accurate or if the shops are better than the reviews say.

Lime Slime USA

The first slime I reviewed was from an Etsy shop called Lime Slime USA. This shop has a three-star review currently. The slime itself wasn't bubble-wrapped, but it came in good condition. They provided a packet of borax, a cute strawberry keychain, and a 4.5-ounce container of their birthday cake ice cream slime that I purchased. With shipping, my total came to $9.71, which is a pretty good price. It took about seven days to arrive, which is pretty average.

I really liked that they included a handmade ice cream charm in the slime. The slime was a glossy slime scented with a strong strawberry scent. I really loved the scent a lot. I was pretty impressed with this one. Everything was professional with the packaging, and this one has a great texture from the bubble pops to the pokes. I definitely recommend it.

Slime Snap

The next slime I reviewed was from an Etsy shop called Slime Snap. This shop has a one-star rating, so I just had to check them out. I really liked their packaging. On the inside of the envelope, everything was securely bubble-wrapped, which was great. I ordered a 4-ounce container of their snow cone glitter slime. In total, I paid $7.65, which in theory is a great price for a 4-ounce container. However, I received two containers of slime that looked kind of different from each other, and they were both half-full, which was a little disappointing.

So, I just decided to mix the two slimes together so I'd have enough slime to play with. The texture of this slime is pretty good. It has a thick consistency and has great bubble pops and is great for poking as well. If you're looking for an unscented slime, this one is pretty good for the price, but you might get less slime than you're expecting.

A Slimy Unicorn

The third slime I reviewed was from an Etsy shop called A Slimy Unicorn. This shop has a 2.5-star rating on Etsy. I purchased an 8-ounce container of their crystal ocean jelly slime. It was nicely bubble-wrapped and labeled. It came with a packet of borax, but there wasn't much borax in it. With shipping, my total came to $12.75, which is pretty good for an 8-ounce container. However, it did take 11 days to arrive, which in my opinion is a pretty long time.

In regards to the slime itself, the color is so pretty. It definitely reminded me of a tropical ocean when it was clear, but it did melt, so I had to reactivate it. It took a while to get this slime to the same consistency, but even after that, it just kept melting and becoming stickier, even after I kept reactivating it. I wasn't a huge fan of this texture. It was pretty sticky, and I tried to reactivate it several times, but unfortunately, it just didn't work out.

Peak Slime Squad

The fourth slime I reviewed was from an Etsy shop called Peak Slime Squad. This shop has a three-star rating. The slime was nicely packed and came in a big box. Their listings on Etsy look so professional, so I wanted to check them out myself. In my package, they included their business card, and they sent me two slimes. For some reason, I only ordered one, and my total came to $9.02, so I was just really confused with these slimes because I looked at the labels on the back, and the date says February 15th, 2019.

So, was this slime made back in February? I went back to the listing, and it doesn't look anything like the listing. It still looks really pretty with the shimmery glitters and the foam beads, but it was completely different from what I received, which made me think it really could be an old slime. I reactivated it, but I just kept thinking to myself, "I probably shouldn't be playing with this because it could be six months old. There could be mold in it or who knows what else."

I mean, it was still a decent slime after I reactivated it. It was unscented, but it had some nice bubble pops to it. It also arrived in four days, which is super quick shipping. I went ahead and opened up the second slime they sent me, which was super nice that they did provide me with two slimes. This one had more of a reddish hue while the previous one looked more like a purplish maroon color. Maybe the color is just all mixed in transit because it was red, white, and blue. I really don't know, but I was still kind of sketched out on whether the label said February 15th, 2019.

Sweet Apple Co

The fifth and final slime I reviewed from Etsy was from a shop called Sweet Apple Co. This shop has a three-star rating. This package arrived in four days, which was great. Thank you, Sweet Apple Co., for their business card and a packet of borax. I ordered a 2-ounce container of Plump Up for a total of $6.44. The color of this slime looks so pretty, but you could tell that there was so much excess liquid and bubbles in this slime. I really don't know what went wrong with this slime, but the slime was definitely over-activated.

It just crumbled in my hands, and my hands were so soapy afterward. Maybe they just added too much foaming hand soap. It literally looks like I just crushed up a jelly. So, this could have just been a bad batch, but this was probably one of the worst slimes I purchased. It had so much potential too because it looks so pretty. It almost looks like those geode crystals, but the texture just wasn't it for me.

Amazon Slimes

Moving on to Amazon slimes, the first slime I reviewed was a scented crunchy jelly cube slime that was $8.99 for a 5-ounce container. It came nicely bubble-wrapped and labeled. This slime had a thick jelly texture to it, which I initially loved. I added in the separate baggie of jelly cubes, slushy beads, and glitters. After adding it all in and mixing it together, I noticed that this slime got a lot stiffer than the original jelly texture, and it became a lot harder to stretch.

It came with a cherry charm in the slime itself, which was a nice touch. The slime did have a light cherry scent, which I liked. I didn't notice it when I was playing with the slime that much, but when I smelled the slime, you could definitely tell there was a cherry scent to it. It's actually a pretty decent slime for the price. It's not the best slime in the world, but it's not the worst either. I did notice too that there was glitter and bead fallout the more I played with it, but overall, it wasn't a terrible slime in my opinion.

The second slime I reviewed from Amazon was a flamingo ice-cream cloud slime. This slime was $6.99. I love the color combination of this slime, and it came topped with rainbow sprinkles, star glitters, and a pink flamingo charm. I really liked mixing these colors together. It looks so pretty. This slime did fluff up quite a bit, but it had a good amount of snow fallout to it and a wet consistency to it. It left a residue on my hands and my table. It also wasn't a very drizzly cloud slime. It felt more like a cloud cream.

This slime was pretty similar to the cloud slimes I would purchase from Wish. So, for seven dollars, I feel like you could find better slimes out there. In my opinion, it wasn't a bad slime, but for the price, I feel like you could find a little bit better.

The third and final slime I reviewed from Amazon was an 8-ounce slime that I purchased for $8.99. This is a cookie fairy putty cloud slime. It came nicely bubble-wrapped and labeled with their logo, and it also came with a cute little cookie charm and fake chocolate chip pieces in it. It has a 2-star rating on Amazon mainly because of the residue.

I thought the consistency of this cloud slime was better than the previous one. It fluffs up really nicely without falling apart, and it just felt a lot smoother and creamier to texture-wise. I was actually surprised with the scent too because it has a fairly strong cookie dough scent to it, which smells amazing. I would probably rate this 3.5 or 4 stars. There was a good amount of snow fallout, but other than that, I really liked it from the scent to the texture and to the aesthetic of it.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I hope this review helped you decide which slimes to purchase and which ones to avoid. Overall, I would say that Lime Slime USA and Peak Slime Squad were the best shops I reviewed. They had great packaging, and their slimes had a great texture and scent. On the other hand, Sweet Apple Co. had the worst slime I reviewed. It was over-activated and crumbled in my hands.

As for the Amazon slimes, the scented crunchy jelly cube slime was the best one I reviewed. It had a great texture and scent. The flamingo ice-cream cloud slime was okay, but for the price, I feel like you could find better. The cookie fairy putty cloud slime was also pretty good, but it had a lot of snow fallout.
